Our department began its educational life by admitting its first students in the 2025-2026 academic year. Prospective students considering our department are advised to verify the current quota and minimum score information each year through the ÖSYM guide and YÖK Atlas.
The YKS Path for Associate Degree Graduates
For graduates of the Hair Care and Beauty Services associate degree program, the path to our department is not limited to vertical transfer. These candidates can be placed directly in our department by taking the YKS and achieving sufficient success in the relevant score type.
Associate degree graduates admitted through the YKS can apply for course exemption after registration within the framework of the relevant directive of Marmara University. Courses taken during the associate degree period are examined in terms of content and credit, and exemption decisions for those found suitable are made by the department's adaptation committee. In this way, the professional knowledge previously acquired by the candidate is recognized, and undergraduate education is built upon this foundation.
This path offers a valuable option especially for associate degree graduates who do not wish to wait for vertical transfer quotas or who aim to begin their undergraduate education as soon as possible.
