Our department offers associate degree graduates the opportunity to continue their academic journey at the undergraduate level. The first admission of students to our program through the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) will take place in the 2027-2028 academic year.
The main source of vertical transfer to our undergraduate program is the Hair Care and Beauty Services associate degree program. Candidates who successfully complete this program will be able to be placed in our department upon achieving a sufficient score in the relevant score type of the DGS. The associate degree programs eligible for transfer and the quotas are determined each year by ÖSYM and announced in the DGS guide. For this reason, it is important for candidates to review the guide of the relevant year for up-to-date information.
For students admitted through vertical transfer, the adaptation process is carried out by evaluating the courses taken during the associate degree period in terms of content and credit. The courses from which the student will be exempted are decided by the department's adaptation committee, with the aim of enabling the student to continue their undergraduate education from where they left off in the most efficient way.
This transfer path allows candidates who have completed their basic professional formation at vocational schools to deepen their knowledge and skills at the undergraduate level and to engage with the scientific and academic dimension of the field.
