Points to Consider Before Choosing
The situations below do not constitute a definite obstacle to choosing the department. However, evaluating them in advance in terms of compatibility with the nature of the profession enables prospective students to take more informed steps both during their education and in their professional life.
- An expectation of an entirely desk-based, theoretical, and sedentary job
- A dislike of close contact with people and one-on-one service relationships
- A health condition that makes standing for long periods difficult
- An uncontrollable tendency to faint or feel unwell at the sight of blood, wounds, or needles. This reaction is known in medicine as hemophobia (fear of blood) or vasovagal syncope triggered by the sight of blood. Minor bleeding or injuries may be encountered in some care applications.
